Types of Glass

There are so many different types of glass to choose from, which is easily available to suit many different peoples needs.

Some of these glass types are now becoming very much a part of the 'standard' glass types, such as Low Emissivety Glass, which has a special coating on the glass, and when used inside a sealed unit reflects heat back into the room see building regulations.

There is Laminated Glass which has more than one layer of glass and is able to withstand a hard impact which could break the glass, but still remain intact.

Or toughened glass which withstands very hard impacts, but when it breaks it breaks into many small fragments of glass.

These are a few of the many different kinds of glass becoming popular in every-day life.
