We cater for many types of glass, and stock a wide range of glass and mirrors at all times.

Whether you want a small peice of glass quickly 'While-U-Wait' over the counter, polished edges or drilled holes.

We have professional glass cutters and glass proccessors to supply you with your glass needs, with experience to offer help and advice when you need it.

 

 

 

 

Some of the glass types regularly used:

Cut in-shop means we usually have the glass readily available and can "cut it when U need it"
Ordered means we order the glass ready cut from the supplier, but it can't normally be cut afterwards

2mm clear Float glass Cut in-shop Used mainly as picture frame glass
2mm diffused Float glass Cut in-shop 'Non-reflective' picture frame glass
3mm horticultural Sheet glass Cut in-shop Used as greenhouse glass. Comes in standard sizes, or can be cut to size. Sometimes used to match very old glass.
4mm clear Float glass Cut in-shop Widely used in double glazed units and newly cut single glass
4mm obscure Obscure Float glass Cut in-shop Widely used in double glazed units and newly cut single glass
4mm clear toughened Toughened safety glass Ordered Float glass toughened safety to BS 6206; 1981 Class A. More commonly used as a safety glass in residential doors and when glass needs to conform to safety regulations Click here for more info

6mm clear Float glass Cut in-shop Used mainly in doors when the glass dimensions are less than 250mm wide and less than 0.5m2 in area
6mm obscure Obscure float glass Cut in-shop Used mainly in doors when the glass dimensions are less than 250mm wide and less than 0.5m2 in area
6mm clear toughened Toughened safety glass Ordered Float glass toughened safety to BS 6206; 1981 Class A. Used mainly for table tops and shelves etc. Click here for more info

C730 fire glass Clear fire glass Ordered, can be Cut in-shop Will hold back smoke and flames for a minimum of 30 minutes. Used in fire doors.
6.8mm laminated obscure Laminated obscure safety glass Cut in-shop Float glass laminated safety to BS 6206; 1981 Class B. More commonly used as a security safety glass. Available in Stippolyte or Sycamore patterns only. Click here for more info
Georgian wired polished plate (G.W.P.P) Clear wired fire glass Cut in-shop Safety wired glass to BS 6206: Class C. Will hold back smoke and flames for a minimum of 30 minutes, and up to 2 hours in the higher specified types. Used in fire doors Click here for more info
